Celebrating Truth Through Art

Marnie Freeman responded to a call from God that came through her husband, Kevin. He kept hearing that 2005 was a year to focus on Marnie and her work. He first heard this in his annual New Year's Day prayer time. He heard it again at the Inaugural Eve Gala. Finally, at Marnie's urging, he went away for three days to fast and pray. At that point, he began to receive more clear direction. Then, at a romantic Valentine's dinner,  he began to share the specifics.

Kevin told Marnie that he felt God wanted her to paint a new painting titled One Nation Under God based on the Pledge of Allegiance. After that, she was led to paint Struggling to Kneel, based on a story from Attorney General Ashcroft. He even told Marnie that she would be presenting the original to General Ashcroft. Following that, he listed another dozen or so subjects he felt God wanted her to paint.

Kevin said that he would quit his job and stay home with their two small children so that Marnie would have the freedom to fulfill her creative destiny.

Three days after Kevin shared his "vision" for her work, Marnie received a call from Placer County California. Amy Dunn has seen her invitation for the Inaugural Gala and wanted Marnie to design something similar but with the theme One Nation Under God with an original painting. Even more amazing, she shared that the keynote speaker for their event was none other than General Ashcroft and that the event would be held on the National Day of Prayer!
